10" Custom Filet Knife

This 10" Filet Knife was commissioned as a gift. It was forged from 52100 High Carbon Steel with a thin, flexible tip.

The handle is made from stabilized Spalted Maple with a curved Walnut/Maple accent. The handle is heavily contoured and small "finlets" (inspired by the small spiked fins of a tuna) were added for extra grip, as filet knife conditions are typically a little slippery.
